Today’s post is part of a monthly blog project where I share some personal photos along with a group of fellow photographers across the country. It has been such a great way to keep me inspired and remember to capture those fleeting moments of childhood! Don’t forget to check out the link below to see what my talented friends have been up to!
Brandon has been getting swim lessons at our local Y for the last few months and loves going underwater! It was fun trying out the GoPro under water and capturing some fun photos! We are trying to enjoy the pool as much as possible so lots and lots of water photos this month!
Brandon also turned 7 this month and we celebrated with ice cream cake and a special trip to Legoland (sorry no pictures since I didn’t want to make the day about photos, he gets enough of that already!)

Newborn photography, I’m so glad you found me or I’m so glad I found you! You make my heart warm and my life complete. Nothing compares to a day when I get to cuddle with a sweet newborn and capturing every little detail. Miss Audrey was as sweet and adorable as can be. Took her a bit to drift off to dreamland but once she did, she was amazing! We were able to get so many perfect photos of her newness. Just look at those chipmunk cheeks, don’t you just want to squeeze them?
Charlie and his family are saying goodbye to Florida and what a better way to remember our beautiful state than to have a beach session! I met 7 month old Charlie when he was just 10 days old and now he’s all grown up and sitting on his own, ready to be on the move to catch up with his active older brother. So many cute photos of this little cutie!
Get ready to see some photos from a little heart breaker in the making. He sure did charm me with those lips, beautiful blue eyes and cool personality. Mr. Caleb is such a sweet little guy and gave me so many adorable smiles. I just can’t take the cuteness! I can’t wait to see him for his cake smash session in a few months!!
I honestly get the sweetest and most adorable newborns to photograph. Mr. William rocked his session and I was able to get so many adorable sleepy set ups of him. His hair was definitely my favorite feature but his adorable little face was a super close second. Here are some of my favorite photos from his newborn session!
The most beautiful light for photo shoots is an hour before the sun sets but that’s usually when Tampa gets our daily dose of afternoon thunderstorms. It never fails, 5 o’clock comes around and the dark clouds roll in and down comes the rain. It usually puts a damper on a lot of sessions! We completely lucked out on this maternity session. It had rained all day and stopped right before it was time for the shoot. This mama is seriously stunning and just glowing at our shoot and 11 month old big sister who I photographed as a newborn, did so well! I can’t wait to meet her little brother!
Well summer is officially over and we are back in the classroom. I think we had a pretty fun summer this year. Last month, Brandon went to visit in cousin in California and the rest of us went over a couple of weeks after and spent some time with him.
Life By Lens is a fun project that I am participating in with a wonderful group of photographers where our goal each month is to document our everyday lives.
Flying with a 3 year old is always so much fun! He was actually quite entertaining and unlike most kids, not once did he ask, “Are we there yet?”. Made the 4.5 hr flight go by so much quicker!
We spent a few days hanging out with the kids and I had fun playing with my new fish eye lens!
Love this huge flag mural at the local shopping center!
We got on the road and this was one of the first stops when we arrived at Monterey.
The beach near the house we stayed in Carmel, CA.
Did a ton of hiking! I love that they enjoyed it and asked to go more and more!
More hiking at Big Sur. This was at McWay Falls! So pretty! And some photos from 17-mile drive.
The rocks at Pfiefer Beach was amazing!
One of my favorite stop was Point Lobos State Park. Saw a family of seals and a couple of deer and this awesome “Hidden Beach”.
The house we stayed at on top of the mountain in Carmel was literally in the clouds! One of the many beautiful sunsets I was able to capture. My silly kids of course!
See? This little house was so quiet and quaint. A perfect place to get away! So sad we had to leave!
Head on over to the fabulous Sally Kate Photography to see her always gorgeous photos this month!
It’s that time of year again for my Fall Mini Sessions! It’s a great opportunity to have photos taken for holiday cards and get updated family photos! With a busy fall schedule filled with itty bitty newborns, these are the only family sessions I will be booking. I will be doing something similar to last year where you can choose either a beach or park location. On Saturday October 4th, it will be at Redington Beach Pier and Sunday October 5th will be at a park near Westchase. Times will be 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30pm.
