Life By Lens | May 2013

Tampa Lifestyle Photographer

Life by Lens is a monthly blog circle project I am participating in with a wonderfully talented group of photographers where our goal each month is to document normal everyday things we otherwise wouldn’t.   At the end of my blog post, you can view the next photographer’s post and so on and so on until you’ve come full circle! This month’s theme will be color; I did a little interesting take on it!

Our home has been taken over. By none other than Angry Birds. Angry Birds Space, Angry Birds Star Wars, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio, and even the spin off Bad Piggies. Who knew it would be such a hit for my 5 year old? When we moved a few months ago, I was purging a lot of toys and the old containers of Play Doh did not make the cut. So a few days ago, my Angry Birds fanatic was looking for Play Doh because out of the blue, he wanted to make Angry Birds out of them. It was a few days before we made it to the store to buy some and he immediately spent the afternoon carefully constructing each different bird, down to all the little details. So I introduce you to my little Play Doh artist! I promise he did all on his own and I didn’t help him one bit!

The many COLORS of Angry Birds! We have Red Bird, Yellow Bird, Black/Bomb Bird, White Bird, Boomerang Bird, Ice Bird, Luke Skywalker Bird, Chewbacca Bird, and even a few piggies!

Now go check out Lucy Liz Images to see her interpretation of this theme!!

Nghi, his Angry Birds are totally fantastic (and he is completely adorable). Is there a way to preserve them (besides pictures) cause, umm, wow! he is only 5 and look what he made!

Wow you have quite the little artist on your hands! I mean he is seriously talented! I’m not sure if you are familiar with what normal 5 yo boys do with play doh but this is not normal. I will show my son’s “creation” for comparison. haha Play doh colors…great idea! Fantastic pictures as always Nghi!

Get this boy into art school! Such a fun take on our color theme – you can see he has a colorful imagination too.

He did such a great job, Nghi! And I love that you captured it so, so you can look back later to see what an impressive artist he was. And I like your interpretation on the theme. :)
