I don’t photograph too many older children but when my friend asked me to get some updated photos of her son, I gladly accepted the request! This boy is so special and one of the sweetest kid you will ever meet and growing up way too fast!
I’ve photographed these sisters three times now and they seriously get more and more adorable each and every time. Miss Chelsea is now 18 months, a really hard age to photograph but she was just a joy to photograph, especially when she was next to her big sister. We did this session at the gorgeous campus of University of Tampa. Here are some of my absolute favorites of them!
Today’s post is part of a monthly blog project where I share some personal photos along with a group of fellow photographers across the country. It has been such a great way to keep me inspired and remember to capture those fleeting moments of childhood! Don’t forget to check out the link below to see what my talented friends have been up to!
Brandon has been getting swim lessons at our local Y for the last few months and loves going underwater! It was fun trying out the GoPro under water and capturing some fun photos! We are trying to enjoy the pool as much as possible so lots and lots of water photos this month!
Brandon also turned 7 this month and we celebrated with ice cream cake and a special trip to Legoland (sorry no pictures since I didn’t want to make the day about photos, he gets enough of that already!)

It’s that time of year again for my Fall Mini Sessions! It’s a great opportunity to have photos taken for holiday cards and get updated family photos! With a busy fall schedule filled with itty bitty newborns, these are the only family sessions I will be booking. I will be doing something similar to last year where you can choose either a beach or park location. On Saturday October 4th, it will be at Redington Beach Pier and Sunday October 5th will be at a park near Westchase. Times will be 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30pm.
What do you get when you combine a beautiful evening, pretty light, and a super adorable baby? A beautiful session, that’s what! If you recall, I photographed Miss McKenna when she was 7 months old. One of the sweetest faces I have ever photographed! She again was nothing but smiles and adorable expressions the entire time. She was also turning the big ONE a few weeks after the session and celebrated with a cake smash session as well. Little miss was not impressed with the cake and barely wanted to touch it! I’m sure there’s a sweet tooth coming in soon though. Thank you to the P Family for choosing me to capture your beautiful family!
I had such a wonderful time photographing this adorable family and exploring Apollo Beach Preserve on Easter Sunday! We had a pretty mild winter in Florida but had unusually cold and windy beginning of spring. Add to the mix a couple of free spirit 1 and 3 year olds and we have a very interesting session! They both eventually warmed up to the fact that I won’t give up or let them leave without getting a bunch of cute photos of them. And a lot of cute photos we did get! Here are some of my favorites!
Time for another edition of Life by Lens! This is a fun project that I am participating in with a wonderful group of photographers where our goal each month is to document our everyday lives.
My goal this month was to get some nice portraits of the boys and then when we went out and tried, I was quickly reminded why I avoid it at all costs! We ended up with a couple of keepers and a lot of crying. Why don’t they understand how much they’ll appreciate this one day! I promise next month will be back to our normal everyday photos, I’ll only traumatize them a few times a year.
We are so lucky to be so close to the beach! Say the word and we pack up a few things and off we go!
And a big happy birthday to the love of my life! I had to disturb his little slumber on the shore to get a photo of him with the kids. And now I don’t have to wonder where the boys got their dislike of getting their photos taken…ahem!

I know I say this all the time but I truly feel like the luckiest newborn photographer to have been photographing the most beautiful newborns. What’s even better is that I get to watch this particular newborn grow up through my lens. I am so excited to introduce Baby Charlie to the Nghi Le Photography family. I can’t wait to watch him grow throughout his first year. Mr. Charlie was such an alert little guy, wanted to fight sleep, and wanted to observe everything. Took advantage of his curiosity and caught one of him and his big brother with such amazing eye contact, pure luck, I’m sure of it! He did finally doze off and did beautifully the rest of the session! Looking forward to seeing these brothers again in a few months!

This project has definitely kept me on my toes about taking photos of the boys. There’s nothing that makes me more happy than to see a whole album full of photos at the end of the year that I put together. We don’t even have to go anywhere to make the photos special, sometimes even just photos of them in the house doing everyday things are the best ones.
They love pretending to be daddy, putting on his glasses and his work badge. They are so silly sometimes, actually, all the time.
I love every little detail about them. Even when the 6 year old insists on putting a little water balloon in his toes when I wanted to get a photo of his big boy feet.
I wish we take them to the park more to play because they clearly just love it.
Even playing in the driveway is a lot of fun, especially when the weather is this beautiful in Florida this time of year!
