I don’t photograph too many older children but when my friend asked me to get some updated photos of her son, I gladly accepted the request! This boy is so special and one of the sweetest kid you will ever meet and growing up way too fast!
I’ve photographed these sisters three times now and they seriously get more and more adorable each and every time. Miss Chelsea is now 18 months, a really hard age to photograph but she was just a joy to photograph, especially when she was next to her big sister. We did this session at the gorgeous campus of University of Tampa. Here are some of my absolute favorites of them!
It’s probably not a surprise that I am way behind in blogging my sessions. It’s June 2015 and I still have sessions from October of last year that I haven’t blogged! There are so many adorable families and babies that need to be shared! I had quite my share of family sessions last fall. Too many to post them all but I need to post more of my favorites! I used to take on family sessions throughout the year but this year, I am limiting family sessions to just the fall. I have just been so busy with all these babies being born all year round. I have already had many requests for family sessions so be on the look out for announcements for dates in October and November! The fall season is such a great time for family sessions in Tampa, the weather definitely is much nicer!
Here are just a few of my favorites!
How am I this lucky to have such beautiful, good looking, sweet clients. Lauren and Zach were expecting their first baby and wanted to capture their new adventure! Lauren booked a maternity, newborn and first birthday package and I could not be happier to be chosen to document such an amazing time in their lives! I just loved their maternity session and here are some of my favorites!
What do you get when you combine a beautiful evening, pretty light, and a super adorable baby? A beautiful session, that’s what! If you recall, I photographed Miss McKenna when she was 7 months old. One of the sweetest faces I have ever photographed! She again was nothing but smiles and adorable expressions the entire time. She was also turning the big ONE a few weeks after the session and celebrated with a cake smash session as well. Little miss was not impressed with the cake and barely wanted to touch it! I’m sure there’s a sweet tooth coming in soon though. Thank you to the P Family for choosing me to capture your beautiful family!
Do you know how excited I was when mom contacted me to photograph a cake smash session for Miss Chelsea? I last saw her when I photographed her 2 month session seen here. I can’t believe she is one year old already!! She is one gorgeous baby with a equally beautiful big sister. I love capturing their love for each other and her big one year milestone. I hope to see these beautiful girls again soon!
I had such a wonderful time photographing this adorable family and exploring Apollo Beach Preserve on Easter Sunday! We had a pretty mild winter in Florida but had unusually cold and windy beginning of spring. Add to the mix a couple of free spirit 1 and 3 year olds and we have a very interesting session! They both eventually warmed up to the fact that I won’t give up or let them leave without getting a bunch of cute photos of them. And a lot of cute photos we did get! Here are some of my favorites!
Newborns are my favorite age but a close second would have to be the 3-6 month range. This age is filled with so much curiosity and happiness! We are usually able to capture so many smiles and the babies always just stare down the camera which is great because we end up with lots of eye contact! Miss Olivia was just a sweet and adorable baby. I always feel so lucky to photograph such beautiful babies!
Time for another edition of Life by Lens! This is a fun project that I am participating in with a wonderful group of photographers where our goal each month is to document our everyday lives.
My goal this month was to get some nice portraits of the boys and then when we went out and tried, I was quickly reminded why I avoid it at all costs! We ended up with a couple of keepers and a lot of crying. Why don’t they understand how much they’ll appreciate this one day! I promise next month will be back to our normal everyday photos, I’ll only traumatize them a few times a year.
We are so lucky to be so close to the beach! Say the word and we pack up a few things and off we go!
And a big happy birthday to the love of my life! I had to disturb his little slumber on the shore to get a photo of him with the kids. And now I don’t have to wonder where the boys got their dislike of getting their photos taken…ahem!

One of the many thing that makes photographing babies so much fun and exciting is getting to see them again and see how much they’ve grown. That’s why I need to demand that all my clients need to book the baby planner package! I’ve photographed Miss Abby since she was 9 days old and so excited to see her again at 17 months old. She is already developing a fun personality and I had a great time photographing her and her parents. Babies this age are not the easiest but I love the challenge of getting them to smile and look at the camera. She completely wore me out in the end but I think it was completely worth it! Now her parents have these beautiful memories captured and cherished.
